AUGUST GIPPSTAR WINNERS

The August Junior Gippstar Award Winner is Lucas Furlan of Traralgon for his achievements in his sport of Clay Target Shooting.   Lucas recently attended the World Universal Trap Championships in Spain as part of the Australian Under 21 Team, the team was successful in defending their World Championship Title from last year winning the gold medal.   Lucas also won the bronze medal in the individual section of the under 21’s with a great score of 192/200, just 2 targets behind the winning Italian shooter.

The August Open Gippstar Award Winner is Julie Beasley of Nilma for her achievements in her sport of Golf Croquet.    In January 2023 Julie wins VCA Open Doubles Championships.   In June 2023 is the winner of Traralgon level play Doubles Section 1.   In July 2023 is runner up Leongatha Handicap Doubles Section 1.  Julie has been picked in the 10 man team to represent Victoria in the ACA Golf Croquet Interstate Shield to be held in Pert, WA Sept 20-24 2023.  Julie pictured with Doubles partner Shane Downie after winning the VCA Vic Open Doubles Championship
