Tennis Coach required for 2025

The Gippsland Sports Academy (GSA) partners with Tennis Victoria to provide a holistic development program for our regions talented tennis players. In order to deliver the coaching component of this program, Tennis Victoria assists in the selection of a head coach to lead the group. This is a paid role, with the coach being paid on a per-session basis and any tournament support they provide.

In line with the vision of Tennis Australia to engage the private coach in player development, We are currently seeking expressions of interest from coaches to take up the vacancy in 2025.

The requirements/commitment that we require from the coaches/coaches will be**:

  1. 6 – 8 x 4 hour Sunday coaching sessions (2 per school term). Sessions to be held in each of the Gippsland LGA’s
  2. Attendance at High Performance day at National Tennis Centre in Melbourne (June 2025)
  3. Coaching/managing the GSA group at the Tennis Vic inter-academy challenge (OCT 2025)

**These requirements are a reflection of the GSA tennis program in previous years. Dependent upon the coach/coaches who lead the 2025 program this may be slightly different, but the GSA and Tennis Vic would envisage a similar job role & responsibility for the successful applicant/s.

The GSA will work with Tennis Victoria to canvas the interest of individual coaches within our region. We see this as a great opportunity for both coaches and players to grow together with additional support from our state and national governing body.

We would appreciate that interested coaches complete the following 2-minute Expression of Interest by Thursday 31st October 2024:
