The Individual Scholarship Holder (ISH) Program builds on the Gippsland Sports Academy’s Sport Science services, with a strong focus on Strength & Conditioning development.

Running annually from May to April, the program provides athletes with regular Strength & Conditioning sessions, as well as access to Nutrition and Sport Psychology education and support.

ISH athletes also receive priority access to appointments with our Physiotherapist and Nutritionist, a benefit available to all Gippsland Sports Academy athletes, helping them maximise their performance, wellbeing, and long-term athletic development.

If you compete at a Regional, State or National level and would like to access our ISH program, please complete the link below or contact Anita at anitap@sportgippsland.org.au for more information

Alex-Vuillermin-rowing

The Gippsland Sports Academy has played a significant role in shaping me both as an athlete and as a person. From a young age, my involvement in volleyball, progressing into rowing, helped me develop a strong, disciplined mindset of consistency and accountability. The support, coaching, and high-performance environment encouraged me to push through comfort zones while maintaining focus under pressure, while also bridging opportunities with the Victorian Institute of Sport. The Academy also taught me how to carry myself with professionalism and composure on the world stage, representing not just myself but my team, region, and country. The Gippsland Sports Academy will forever hold a place in my heart.
