2026/27 Swimming Program

Swimming is a program that has experienced a lot of success, with many athletes competing at state and national level competitions. The swimming program owes much of its success to the highly accredited satellite coaches from around Gippsland who are under the guidance of Coach Co-ordinator Brian Ford. The Swimming Program has been proudly sponsored by the Morwell Bowling Club for many years and continues to also be supported by Gippsland Swimming & Swimming Victoria ensuring the sport and the program are progressing with the best intentions for all involved. The program boasts former Academy athlete and Olympic swimmer, Ashley Delaney as its patron.

2026/27 Training Dates

Program Schedule
Session 1: Sat 20^th June – Andrew Cameron Physio screening and presentation (Traralgon & Sale) – Times TBC.
Session 2: Sat 4^th July – Underwater Filming (Ford Swim Centre Traralgon) 3.30pm – 6pm
Session 3: Wed 8^th July Induction – TAFE Gippsland Newborough
Session 4: Sun 15^th November – Ian Pope Session with VIS Test Set data testing (GRAC Traralgon) 8.30am – 12.00pm
Session 5: March 2027 – Time trial at GRAC Traralgon
ACE Day – Wednesday 7 April 2027
Awards Evening – Friday 7 May 2027

Race Preparation – Feb/ March – TBA

Depending on when Gippies and States is we’ll bring all the Academy swimmers together for one or two meets targeting National times only or pre-National race preparation.
