2026/27 Volleyball Program

The GSA 2026/27 Volleyball Program is looking to identify & develop emerging talent towards high performance programs by providing a high performance culture, primarily focused on developing the athlete’s potential for State team selection.

Lachlan Moreland started his GSA coaching journey as the Assistant Coach for two years before recently moving into the position of Head Coach. Lachlan has been playing volleyball for about 12 years and coaching on and off for about 8 of those years. Lachlan is now passing on his experience to help nurture, develop and inspire our young Gippsland volleyball athletes to reach their full potential.

The program provides Physical Development (Strength & Conditioning Training, Physical Therapy) & Personal Development, (Time Management & Goal Setting, Nutrition, Media Awareness, ACE Day, Sports Psychology) in addition to Technical Skill Development.

Alex-Vuillermin-rowing

The Gippsland Sports Academy has played a significant role in shaping me both as an athlete and as a person. From a young age, my involvement in volleyball, progressing into rowing, helped me develop a strong, disciplined mindset of consistency and accountability. The support, coaching, and high-performance environment encouraged me to push through comfort zones while maintaining focus under pressure, while also bridging opportunities with the Victorian Institute of Sport. The Academy also taught me how to carry myself with professionalism and composure on the world stage, representing not just myself but my team, region, and country. The Gippsland Sports Academy will forever hold a place in my heart.
